Overview on Eurociett's main public affairs priorities

Shaping appropriate temporary agency work regulation

Eurociett strives for shaping appropriate temporary agency work regulation in Europe.

At EU level, this focuses currently particularly on the implementation of the EU Directive on temporary agency work and a better implementation and enforcement of the EU Directive on the Posting of Workers.

Striving for a better recognition of the contribution of agency work to well-functioning labour markets

Eurociett strives for a better recognition of the positive contribution of agency work to well-functioning labour markets.

Key dimensions of this contribution include:

  • Creating more work opportunities for more people and enhancing labour market participation.
  • Facilitating labour market access and social inclusion.
  • Implementing Flexicurity policies, which offer flexibility and work security to companies and workers
  • Facilitating access to new skills for new jobs.
  • Promoting work mobility in the labour market.

A key policy framework for a better recongition of this positive contribution is provided by the EU Employment Strategy and the forthcoming EU2020 Strategy.

Contributing to a fruitful sectoral social dialogue

Eurociett and Uni-Europa are the recognised sectoral social partners for the temporary agency work sector.

In the past years, both social partners have conducted a fruitful, sectoral social dialogue, which included several joint declaration, joint research and jointly organised conferences and events.
